Hi, Code 39 means the driver is corrupt or missing. I can format the disks in my other burner in another computer, no problem. Not to mention the fact that any modern computer’s optical drive, laptop or otherwise, should at the very least read and write any format of DVD, and optionally at least read Blu-Ray and possibly though not necessarily HD-DVD.
